HAPPY 4 MONTHS SWEET JUDE

My new trick, I love to lift my legs up HIGH into the air

Our little bug is growing up WAY too fast. I've been trying to figure out a way to make it stop, but it just seems inevitable. 4 months has been a blast so far, its such a change from the past 3 months. It seems like just over night Jude has changed so much. He's now a whopping 14 pounds 9 ounces, and 26 & 3/4 inches tall. He's in the 50% for weight, but in the 90% for height. Our pediatrician is guessing Jude will be anywhere between 6'2 and 6'4!!!

This month Jude has been super vocal. He's always cooing and squealing. He even sings along to music in the car saying "ooooh, ooooh". He cracks me up because when he is laying on his play mat he lets out this adorable squeal that almost sounds like a little kitten.

He loves to look at his reflection in the mirror or reverse camera on my iPhone. He will giggle and laugh at the cute baby. It's so adorable.

He has started grinding his gums together & is a drool monster. He is constantly gnawing on his hands or mine, I'm pretty sure he's in the beginning stages of getting some little teeth. Anything & EVERYTHING goes in the mouth these days. Jude is even trying with all his might to get his toes into his mouth.

Jude LOVES his Daddy!!! When Jeff walks in the door after work Jude will often greet him with a squeal and a giggle. I love watching their relationship continue to grow. It makes me melt into a pile of mush. When Jeff has a week day off of work he keeps Jude at home with him so they can have some Daddy & Jude time.

Our little nugget is SO strong and athletically built. If placed on his tummy, he will pop up onto his arms and elbows and look around the room. When given the opportunity, Jude would rather stand on your lap then be held like a baby. He still loves to be snuggled, but he now prefers to look around and take in all the action.

We've tried letting him start to learn how to sit up and he will place one hand in front of himself for balance, my Baby Center email's say that's called the "Tripod sit" haha.

Jude still loves himself some Zac Brown Band, in fact, if he gets fussy... all we have to do is put on a song by the Zac Brown Band and he instantly calms down. A few of the songs he even tries to sing along and will say "oooh ooooh" at the appropriate parts in the song.

Jude has tried green beans, peas, carrots, bananas, and sweet potatoes this month. Green beans were an instant favorite, followed by sweet potatoes & peas are definitely not. We even gave Jude a taste of a lemon slice the other day and he LOVED it. I'm told that his daddy was the same way as a kid & would eat lemons ALL the time. But Jeff can't stand anything sour anymore, even sour candy. I wonder if Jude will be like him in that regard.

Overall 4 months has to be my favorite so far, even those I miss those newborn snuggles, I am loving all the smiles and coos I get from Jude every day. He is such a happy baby & we are truly blessed.

3 months old... ALREADY!?!?

 He is especially well behaved in public and loves to people watch!

Jude always draws attention wherever we go, the ladies at the nail salon can't get enough of him and always want to kiss his toes.

 Jude is super strong, especially his legs! We are guessing he will be a great kicker, swimmer, runner, or even drummer one day. He always tries to climb up my chest. It cracks us up.

 If Jude is in a fussy mood, simply taking him outside can put him into a good mood. He LOVES to be outdoors... even in the hot Arizona summers. 

Country Music Videos and Baby Einstein Videos keep him calm and entertained for at least 15 minutes.

 He's super excited his "Auntie" Crystal moved back from Colorado. 

 Jude already has a BFF, Arkham. We get to see him at least once a week and I can't wait to see these boys grow up together.

 He has started nawing on his own hands or mommas and has a ton of drool... I think he might be in the early stages of teething

 He especially loves it when Mommy & "Auntie" Libbie dress him & Arkham in matching outfits

 He isn't quite sure if he is a fan of the Bumbo

Jude enjoys Breastfeeding and eating from a bottle, especially when Robert is the one giving it to him. Robert calls Jude "My little, my baby. My bebe Judie"

Happy 3 months sweet Jude. Mommy and Daddy are so blessed to have you in our lives and love watching to learn something new each day. We can't wait to see what all is in store for you. We love you.
